Dr Andrew MacKenzie is a Landscape Architect and researcher in urban landscape planning and policy. Andrew’s research has contributed to the review of the Metropolitan Plan for Canberra, Australia’s National Capital. The findings from his research have been used as evidence for the protection of critical urban ecological assets and limiting the urban growth of the city. Andrew’ s current research explores the integration of biodiversity values in the development of design standards in urban green space and governance for managing ecosystem services in urban landscapes. Andrew is the program director for Landscape Architecture at the University of Canberra.
